Where to cruise?
Menorquin recommends a route around the island of Menorca, where its vessels originated, a place where life is enjoyed without haste, in the Slow fashion, living every moment to the full.
A weeks Slow Yachting around the Menorquin coves on board a Menorquin Yacht, is the ideal amount of time to make a "round island trip", following a deeply rooted tradition of the Menorcan residents..
Menorca, cruising from cove to cove.
Departing from the Port of Mahón to discover two completely different worlds from the sea, North and South. Menorca is an island of contrasts. A South coast of white sandy beaches, with turquoise blue waters; and a North coast, which is harsh and rugged, with spectacular cliffs and beaches with dark sand and emerald green water.
Not to be missed:
Visit the Albufera d'es Grau Natural Park, sample a traditional lobster "caldereta" in Fornells, take a walk around the old historical town of Ciutadella or dine out and enjoy a stroll along the Port of Mahón, these are some other ways of discovering the island that will give you a sense of Menorca's history, natural landscape and gastronomy.
For those fond of hiking, it is possible to alternate boating with some walking along the "Camí de Cavalls", an historical route which dates from the XIV century and borders the coastal perimeter of Menorca.
If the trip coincides with the dates of one of the patron saint's day fiestas they are also worth experiencing, hundred-year-old traditions which are celebrated throughout the summer in each of the islands towns. The horses are the main protagonists of these festivals.
If you plan to go out on the boat on alternate days it is also possible to take advantage of Menorquin Charter on a daily basis.
