The Menorquin group was founded in 1978 under the name of Astilleros Menorca and established in Menorca (Balearic Isles), a privileged setting and international reference point for competitive and leisure sailing, with its own nautical traditions and individual personality as represented by the emblematic llaüt balear.

The company has a clear international projection and has experienced an extraordinary evolution, positioning itself amongst the most remarkable shipyards in Spain as well as at an international level.

Initially Menorquin focused on the manufacture of small boats, but it was not long before it gave rise to a new generation of cruising yachts, the Menorquin Yachts, thanks to the extraordinary creativity and futuristic vision of the professionals which make up the Menorquin team. Together they have worked to combine to perfection the traditional values and the incomparable style of the typical Balearic vessels with the advantages of the most modern technology. It is from these cruisers that the shipyard’s name was taken.

The company’s favourable evolution meant that by the year 2000, 22 years after it was founded, it saw the inauguration of a new production plant of 14.000 m2 built on a surface area of 30.000 m2.

The company has always been at the forefront in its use of technological advances and this is an area which has been the focus of intense activity. Since 2003 Menorquin has met the ISO 9000:2001 certification standards for all the vessels it produces. This has been a distinguishing symbol of quality for the firm and a guarantee which adds value to the brand, reinforces the Shipyard’s name and recognition at a global level.

Menorquin Yachts is currently the name of one of the 4 boat ranges belonging to the Menorquin group.

Menorquin is represented internationally through its various representatives.

The Menorquin group, as the company as a whole is called today, integrates several ranges of vessels belonging to different sectors, as well a broad spectrum of services and its own distribution brand, Emotion Yachting, which serves to complement the global structure of the business.

Menorquin currently has four boat ranges:

- Menorquin Llaüts comprises boats of between 5 and 8 metres in length.

- Menorquin Yachts, the cruising yachts range of between 10 and 18 metres overall length.

- Menorquin Custom Yachts, super yachts of 20 and 24 metres length.

- Largo by Menorquin, a sports range which has so far launched the Largo 100 GT model which competes in the classic runabout sector.

In terms of services Menorquin currently offers the following:

- Menorquin Share a boat share scheme for Menorquin Yachts.

- Menorquin Charter which provides the opportunity of renting Menorquin Yacht vessels.

- Menorquin Services, a very comprehensive personalised assistance service which includes facilities for the repair, restoration and maintenance work on Menorquin boats.

Also:

- Emotion Yachting, the shipyards own distribution brand supplies all the Menorquin products and services and distributes second hand vessels of the Menorquin brand and other brands.
