MENORQUIN PRESENTS THE MENORQUIN YACHT 160 – 2011 EDITION – AT CANNES

The 16 metre model from the Menorquin Yachts range, in its updated version for the 2010-2011 season, debuts at the Cannes International Boat Show, where the Spanish shipyard will also be exhibiting the Menorquin Yacht 100 of 10 metres length.


MENORQUIN once again attends the Cannes International Boat Show, its first appointment in the new season’s boat show calendar. For this 33rd edition the Shipyard, which has its headquarters in Menorca, has chosen to exhibit two of its models from its cruising yachts range Menorquin Yachts, true icons of the SLOW YACHTING sailing philosophy.

At Cannes it will present a new edition of the Menorquin Yacht 160 to which the firm has introduced some new features. The interior has been updated with a new line of furnishings, in keeping with the classic aesthetics and nautical theme which distinguish MENORQUIN; as well as incorporating considerable improvements such as the installation of independent showers in each of the two bathrooms and more ample - adult size beds - in the third cabin.

The exterior of the MY 160 – 2011 edition stands out with a renewed stylized design of the hardtop, which accentuates the harmony and elegance of the yacht; one piece lateral windows with improved closing mechanisms have also been installed. All of these attractive improvements extol the extraordinary habitability and comfort of this craft.

In line with the recently signed collaboration agreement between Simrad and Menorquin, the first MY 160 unit – 2011 edition has been fitted with a complete marine electronic system, with the latest technology from Simrad Yachting: a NSE 12 navigation system, BR24 Broadband Radar, AP24 Autopilot, VHF RS82 radio, WR20 remote commander and the recently launched SonicHub sound system.

The other model the shipyard will be taking to Cannes is the Menorquin Yacht 100, the baby of this range which is considered an excellent option for those starting out in the cruising yacht world. This model with its 10 metres length offers an extraordinary capacity – 6 berths and up to 10 passengers on board- thanks to the intelligent configuration of the interior space.
